Born on a Raft Theatre

Howdy, readers!

I’m pleased to announce our inaugral production as a company. This is the Quebec premiere of Daniel MacIvor’s “The Best Brothers” from May 28-31 at White Wall Studios.

I have loved this play for a long time- I have joked before that it is “Marion Bridge, but for Boys” as there are similarities between this script and Marion Bridge, also by MacIvor.

We truly have a splendid team. I, Thom, am producing and acclaimed Trevor Barrette will be directing. If you’re a Montreal theatre fan, you may have seen two incredible shows directed by Trevor in 2025- How Max and Aaron Write a Musical at Segal Centre and Bed and Breakfast at Hudson Village Theatre.

Orlando Lopez is our stage manager- if you saw “Lesbian Wilderness Retreat from Hell”, that was Orlando’s most recent work!

We have more team members to announce, however- we are casting the role of Hamilton Best. We’ve already received some great submissions but would love to see more of them. Check out the contact page to reach out to us! Don’t wait, though- submissions close November 30 at 11:59pm.
